Connect beehiiv to route contacts into a publication’s newsletter lists and bring existing subscribers into OpenContact.

What you can do

• Send — create or update a subscriber and add them to a selected newsletter list without sending a welcome email.
• Import — pull subscribers from any newsletter list.
• Map fields — use the publication’s existing custom fields in a sync rule.
• Suppress — unsubscribe a matching subscriber when they opt out elsewhere.

How to connect

1. In beehiiv, create an API key with access to the publication you want to sync.
2. Copy the publication ID from beehiiv.
3. In OpenContact, go to Connections → beehiiv and enter the API key and publication ID.
4. Refresh lists to load the publication’s newsletter lists and custom fields.

Good to know

A beehiiv connection belongs to the publication ID saved with its credentials. Update the connection credentials if you need to point it at a different publication. Select a newsletter list when using beehiiv as a sync or migration destination.

Add beehiiv as a destination, choose a newsletter list, and map profile fields to custom fields that already exist in beehiiv. See Sync rules.
