When teams send through more than one provider, an unsubscribe in one platform can leave the same person active somewhere else. OpenContact turns suppression into shared contact state.
Receive the event
Supported providers send unsubscribe, hard-bounce, complaint, or member events to a secure inbound URL. OpenContact registers provider webhooks automatically where supported and verifies signatures where available.
Update the canonical record
The contact status changes once, with the source and timestamp recorded in its event history. Provider retries are de-duplicated.
Propagate the decision
Use a global suppression policy for broad coverage or separate event-triggered rules for destination-specific handling.
Keep evidence available
Inspect the project activity stream, open the contact timeline, read events through the API, or send them to your own system with signed webhooks.
