Klaviyo alternatives and how to move your list
People look for Klaviyo alternatives for one reason more than any other: the bill. Klaviyo charges by active profiles, meaning contacts who may receive your marketing email. The bigger the list, the bigger the invoice.
What Klaviyo’s pricing page says
- Free plan: up to 250 profiles and 500 emails a month.
- Paid plans scale with active profiles. The pricing page does not publish a price table, so check the cost for your own list size there.
Tools you can move to
OpenContact can copy a Klaviyo list into each of these, with custom fields:
| Tool | Worth a look if | Move your list |
|---|---|---|
| Brevo | you want a general email platform | Klaviyo to Brevo |
| MailerLite | you want a simple, low-cost tool | Klaviyo to MailerLite |
| Mailchimp | you want a widely supported tool | Klaviyo to Mailchimp |
| ActiveCampaign | you want automation and a CRM | Klaviyo to ActiveCampaign |
| Kit | you sell to an audience as a creator | Klaviyo to Kit |
| Mailjet | you send transactional and marketing email | Klaviyo to Mailjet |
MailerLite lists its free plan at 250 subscribers and 2,500 emails a month, with paid plans “starting” at $12 and $25 a month (checked 23 October 2026). Compare the others on their own pricing pages. A cheaper plan is only cheaper if it has the features you use.
Moving from Klaviyo
- Profile properties have no fixed list in Klaviyo, so OpenContact learns them from the first few hundred profiles in the list. A property that only appears on later profiles is not copied.
- Unsubscribed and suppressed profiles are not added to the new list. They stay excluded.
- Profiles that never subscribed but are not suppressed can still receive Klaviyo email, so they are copied.
- Tags are not read from Klaviyo.
- Preview first. Check what will happen shows how many contacts would be copied, excluded or skipped before anything moves.
What you will need to rebuild
Flows, segments and templates are not copied. Plan to recreate them in the new tool.
