Keep Google Sheets leads in your CRM without exports

A shared sheet is where many lead lists start: event signups, partner referrals, a form someone connected years ago. The CRM copy goes stale the moment someone adds a row.

Prepare the sheet

OpenContact maps columns by their header row. Use a header named Email (required), and optionally First Name and Last Name. Rows without an email are skipped.

Connect and import

  1. Go to Connections, Google Sheets and click Connect. Access is read-only.
  2. Pick the spreadsheet. Its rows become contacts, matched by email.
  3. Set the sheet to auto-pull every 15 minutes on the Connections page, or import on demand.

Clean, then route

If email verification is available on your account, switch it on for the project to flag disposable, role-based and risky addresses. Then create a sync rule with a condition on the verification result, for example skip disposable addresses, and send the rest to your CRM or email platform.

Why this beats a CSV

  • No file to export, rename or upload.
  • Each contact has a timeline showing it came from the sheet.
  • The same contact arriving from a form later keeps its first source.
