Constant Contact alternatives and how to move your list

If you are comparing Constant Contact with other tools, compare on your own list size, the features you use, and what the move will cost you in time. Constant Contact’s pricing page is not readable by automated tools, so check current plans there directly.

What OpenContact does

OpenContact connects to Constant Contact with OAuth. It can import your contacts, send contacts, and keep opt-outs in step.

What moves, and what does not

Moves from Constant Contact use the basic copy:

  • Copied: email address and name, for subscribed contacts.
  • Not copied: custom fields and tags. Custom field and tag copying is available from Mailchimp, Mailjet, Brevo, MailerLite, Kit, ActiveCampaign and Klaviyo, not yet from Constant Contact.
  • Subscription status: Constant Contact does not report each contact’s status to a migration, so OpenContact cannot exclude unsubscribed contacts for you. Remove them before you start.
  • Preview first. Check what will happen shows how many would be copied or excluded.

If you rely on custom fields, export them separately or recreate them in the new tool.

Where to move

Any tool OpenContact can write to: Brevo, MailerLite, Mailchimp, ActiveCampaign, Kit, Mailjet, GetResponse, AWeber, Klaviyo, beehiiv and Ghost. See the integration list.

After the move

Connect both tools to a sync rule with suppression on, so an unsubscribe in either tool reaches the other while you run both.
